Free Barcode Equipment Repairs from Ryzex Helps Organisations Save Thousands of Pounds and Lower Total Cost of Ownership

Ryzex, a leading mobile technology services company, has launched i-Refresh, a new service offering that will enable organisations to take advantage of free electronic data capture repairs for a full year. This will have significant impact on improving the bottom line. i-Refresh offers customers an intelligent way to upgrade existing barcode systems and also offers a managed service option without having to raise capital expenditure.

“The current economic climate is putting organisations under increasing pressure to save money, meet increasing customer demands and maintain a competitive advantage,” said Adrian Lawson, Business Development Director at Ryzex. “i-Refresh was designed to help organisations reap the benefits of a mobile technology upgrade, such as improved operational efficiency and customer service, whilst reducing the financial pressures associated with this type of investment.”

As part of the agreement, the i-Refresh programme will begin by providing companies with a year’s free legacy support for their existing mobile technology hardware. As the UK’s largest dedicated barcode scanner repair centre, Ryzex holds a vast inventory of legacy handheld barcode scanner spares, enabling it to repair and maintain devices that are no longer supported by the original manufacturer. This first year’s free service ensures an immediate cost saving and the improved maintenance of the device will help reduce downtime experienced due to device failure rates; increasing productivity and efficiency, and lowering the total cost of ownership.

During the first year of the programme Ryzex will work with the organisation to plan the roll out of the most suitable new data capture hardware that specifically meets its business requirements. Once the roll out is complete Ryzex will recycle the redundant hardware in accordance with the WEEE directive, saving the customer time and money.

For the remainder of the term of the agreement, i-Refresh delivers a fully managed service for the hardware solution. “As a managed service, i-Refresh rolls the cost of the upgrade, ongoing device maintenance and a range of support services into a monthly payment,” explained Lawson. “This will allow companies to remove these depreciating assets from their balance sheets and manage costs in line with return on investment.”
