The global RFID (radio frequency identification) trade community is set to meet to discuss partnering and alliance opportunities at the forth coming RFID Global Partnering Symposium, which will take place on May 24th and May 25th 2006 at the Olympia 2 Conference Centre in London.
Day one of the event, May 24th, will for the first time see a truly global representation of RFID vendors, resellers, integrators, distributors and consultants joining together for a range of discussions on new market opportunities. Key industry players such as Alien Technology Corp, Avery Dennison, BEA Systems, EM Microelectronic - Marin SA, IBM, OAT Systems Inc, SAP, Symbol Technologies and Unisys will be joined by over 100 other organisations from Europe, USA, Asia, Africa and Australia to meet for unrivalled networking opportunities and to attend a range of conference sessions hosted by industry thought leaders from around the world.
Presentations on the day will be delivered by the likes of Dr Peter Harrop(Chairman ,IDTechEx), John Davison (Principal Analyst, Gartner G2), Ivano Ortis (Program Manager, IDC European Vertical Markets) and Mike Liard (RFID Research Program Director, Venture Development Corporation). Other highlights of the day will include a Keynote address from Sanjay Sarma (Chief Technology Officer, Oat Systems and Former Chairman of Research and Co-Founder of the Auto - ID Centre at MIT) and for the first time in Europe, Simon Holloway (EMEA Manufacturing Industry Architect, Microsoft) will be discussing Microsoft> '> s new middleware offering to the RFID market.
When delegates are not gaining an insight to the global RFID market from the keynote speeches, they can maximise networking opportunities through the RFID Connex service, which allows delegates to pre-arrange meetings with other delegates, on the day, to discuss joint market opportunities.
Day two of the event, May 25th, will see the meeting of the RFID Networks, with around 500 delegates from over 20 vertical sector industries joining together to attend a range of end-user case studies, presentations and discussions. With this being the Sixth time that the event has been held, the May RFID Global Partnering Symposium promises to be the most successful yet for both end-users and vendors alike.
